« on: May 25, 2006, 12:39:01 am »
OK<>>This is driving me bananas!,. DOES ANYONE HAVE THE RIGHT SPARTAN-X/KUNG FU-MASTER PINOUTS WITH PICS OF HOW YOU DID YOURS??...OR--Would you like to sell me yours??>..i have like 5 different pinouts from different sites, and compared it to other games with the same pins,...and i even tried to solder up my own adapter and i feel like im doing something wrong,..i had to re-solder it twice and still,..nothing!  :banghead: Let me start by saying that KUNG FU MASTER has many different boards to choose from and different pinouts,..so ill tell you guys that my 3 stack boards are from IREM,and have the SPARTAN-X lettering in chinese on a sticker dated 1984,. I cant do this right,..here is the edge connectors when youre looking at it facing you

Let me show you some pics,..and ill explain better,..maybe you guys can help out,..

http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h259/atari_2006/P1010158.jpg    (the adapter i made with the parts side facing out to the camera)  i think i have soldered it right. (the way youre looking at it from the pic)inside the edge connector is almost invisible teeny tiny letters and numbers...am i doing this right?..i turned on the machine and all i see is a grey screen, and when i press the buttons on the control panel, the screen changes to red, black, green, ...  ??? i just want to sream!  :hissy:

Well, since the pics are no longer available, anything at this point is a stab in the dark ...

What pinouts have you tried ?

http://arcarc.xmission.com/Tech/Pinouts/KungFuMaster.txt

doesn't jive at all with ...

http://arcarc.xmission.com/Tech/Pinouts%20(new%20Sep-21-2003)/10-Yard_Fight.txt

But 10-Yard Fight does jive with ...

http://arcarc.xmission.com/Tech/Pinouts%20(new%20Sep-21-2003)/Spartan_X.txt

So, what have you tried so far ?

And ... oh yeah ... how is the cab wired ?

Cheers.

I've got a Jamma adaptor for my Kung-Fu Master and it's working fine.  I have 2 files with pinouts. The only difference is that they have the kick and punch reversed.

I'll attach the .TXT file for you.  It has some garbage in the beginning, but the info is there.

Good luck,
Rocky

Rocky's pinouts look like they jive with both 10YF and Spartan-X, so I uspect they are what you want ... are they different from what you are doing?

Cheers

thanks for responding guys!,...i have tried the three pinouts that you (CHEFFO) posted up,..i have a non jamma board,..it has the chinese lettering saying SPARTAN-X, made by IREM,..though i might have to rewire the 3 pinouts you mentioned again just to be sure,..and the arcade i have is generic,..it only has 22/44 pins output from the harness,...so my adapter i made from scratch is the same amount of pins too,..(its all 44 pins,..)i have a feeling that rockys file to the game will work if i can only have it, even though its jamma...(if you dont mind),...ill try anything!,..cause im going KOO KOO! :dizzy: just when i think i can get a great game like kung -fu to work without any problems,..i feel like im in some sort of a poker game,..that im forced to go all in!,..and i lose my shirt ,..and i have a couple of chips left ,...and thats you guys!,..THANKS for keeping in the game! ill wait for rockys txt file,..and see what happens,... :-\
