Billabs, wells gardner, or betson

I just got done reading through the reviews on retroblast and I have decided I want an authentic arcade monitor in my cab. Although the reviews were good, i think I really need a feel for how each monitor works in reference to the others. I would appreciate any input/preferences from this wonderful (tongue slightly in cheek  ) community, So fellas and ladies, which is it.

BTW, my cab is already built with a tv monitor in it, this will be my first experience with an arcade monitor.

Can't comment on the other two, but I drove to the Betson supplier in Phoenix about 6 months ago and bought a 27" multisync.  No problems to date with it, and it looks great!

stay away from anything wells gardner with a "d" in the model #

I haven't tried a WG out, but scanning previous posts show what you may expect from some...  especially those with a "d" in the model ".   

I picked up 2 Betson monitors and had them for almost 6 mo too (from phoenix also) - no problems here.

The Billabs sounds like an excellent monitor, but a bit too PC-ish for my tastes.  Flat screen vs curved aperature, smaller dot pitch, etc...  probably better if you do PC games as well but the purists should prefer the Betson.  Of course, the purists would probably be using a std res monitor if they could, if not playing the original setup itself.

God, I am hoping the Betson multi sync is the way to go. I live near San Francisco (only 2 1/2 hour drive) and Betson has a distributor there that will sell me a 27" multi sync for $399.99. What I'm saying is that its a long drive to replace if it doesn't work.

    I have had bad luck with electronics lately. I bought a new home theater projector last month and had a big video game party to kick it off. Well it was dead out of the box. With all the problems i read about on this forum regarding multi sync monitors, I can just imagine what could happen.

From personal experience, a Wg K7401 is a great monitor, but it needs a fan nearby, blowing on the neckboard, because even thought the x-strs have heatsinks, the traces on the board will come off after a while because of the heat.
