1425 Pentronics monitor will not adjust
« on: May 13, 2006, 11:38:25 pm »
I have a model 1425 Pentronics monitor.I can not get the picture to stop rolling or bending and jumping.I just installed 2 . The first took about 2 min. to adjust.
One thing it does is makes a pop noise and ark's around the ground strap that raps around the out side of the monitor. What am I missing? I did change the remote adjusting board.

Now it will at times slowly go dark. Like it is loosing power.

Thanks for any help.

if you have arcing to the earth strap then its likely to be a damp/dirt issue on your ht lead-as for your picture issue,do you have a curve at the top of the picture?

It is a new kit that I put in my old frame. The game is a California speed. I have 2. The other monitor is the same. And works in the game I have the problem with. So we know it is not the game. Thanks for the help.

I am running it at med. rez (25). I have tried standard (15) and it is the same.

Now it will at times slowly go dark. Like it is loosing power.

tube faults are extremely rare,i very much doubt this is a tube fault-just exchange the chassis
