Do ps2 take awhile to load?

And if it is modded with a chip (magic chip) shouldnt it play back-up movies too?

I have one with slow load times and my back-up movies (dvd-r and dvd+r) will not load.  I get 'put in a psx or ps2 format disc'

An unmodded PS2 will play "Backup movies".

slow load times may be caused by laser.  You can easily adjust lasers though.

I tried.  I definitly would not describe it as easy...
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

I disagree.  Once you have it apart you put a disk in, hold the laser cover on, put in a cd and start.  If its not right, you turn the dial 2 clicks then repeat.  keep doing this till the disk loads correctly, then put it back together.
