What do you mean by custom resolutions. Are you not able to get to the Advanced timing options display? If that's the case, under options, click on online services, and update powerstrip. The newest versions usually will fix any of those problems.

If you are talking about arcade resolutions, you will have to add them once again. If you need any more help, let me know.

no custom resolutions button is usually a sign that Powerstrip does not have support for your graphics card (Although there are not that many of these).

What gfx card do you have? What card does powerstrip say you have?

Its not the graphics card.

Powerstrip must support the graphics chip on the board but the windows driver must support custom resolutions.

Maybe the windows98 driver supports custom resolutions but the XP driver doesn't. Try to ask on the powerstrip forum.

Do you have the latest drivers for the card installed? There is no way that Powerstrip doesn't see that card! It's got to be something.

It says specifically in the Powerstrip Custom Resolutions FAQ that ATI Rage and Rage128 will NOT support custom resolutions.

I do not know why it worked in 98. I can only assume the driver is significantly different.

Posting on the Powerstrip board will get your answer quickly - the site admin, Rik Wang, is very helpful and knows powerstrip inside out.
