Who can install a mod chip in a PS2?
« on: May 02, 2006, 07:22:04 pm »
I've got a PS2 that I would like to put a mod chip in.  I would rather pay someone to do it who is familiar with the process than risk frying it myself.

Does anyone here offer this service or recommend someone who does?

yeah, I need one modded too!  I was going to buy one off of ebay but the last modded xbox I bought is still costing me money to fix.  :hissy:

Is the slim better than the old school style or what?

Or better what is a good chip.

Whatzcrackn:
Personally I preffer the old school style of PS2's better than the slim line.  You can easily install a Hard Drive into them which you can play your games off of with out haveing to even open up the PS2.  With a Hard Drive you no longer have to swap disks to switch games.  Plus the games load faster off the hard drive than they do from the DVD drive.

I'd recomend Netmech over in the forums at PS2-scene.org.  He does a great job of installing PS2 chips.
