Yeah, but when the Leafs don't even make the playoffs, hockey doesn't make much sense anymore.  :dizzy:

Being a Colorado Avs fan who lives in Detroit, waking up this morning to find Detroit taking a seat in the playoffs is just priceless!

Being from Minnesota, it was cool to see Roloson get the win. I hope for him they go all the way. (It was also fun to see Detroit get knocked out early yet again)

I'm sorry, but the basketball fans thread is over in the Gang-bangin, baby mama beatin, and cry baby section of EE.  Every hockey theamed thread that I've visited always has the basketball is better guy/girl. It's kind of like sex with Kobie Bryant, it's gonna happen weather you like it or not!

As a Blues fan, thats the best news I've heard all season since.........well........all season!   :applaud:

as ANOTHER Blues Fan, al I can do this year is root against people.  So far I'm doing well...The Avs - have our coach, and Pierre Turgeon, and aren't in Texas...rooting for them - WIN!

Oilers- have Prongs and they're not Detroit!  WIN!

I'm torn between the Ducks and Flames, but Flames are from the great white north..so they get the edge....

I hate the sharks, so I lose there..but ...in the East I'm rooting for Sabers and Habs.  I'm tired of the devils and I wanted to see Tampa defend the cup a little better than they did...oh well... god the playoffs are amazing though.

DeLong, you in STL?  Go Cards..until it's hockey season again...  :D

No, I'm in Springfield.  I'm rooting for the Avs myself.  I figure some of that team used to be the Blues so, I guess that's the closest I'll get this year.

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!

I've ALWAYS hated the Red Wings.  Being a Rangers fan (Good golly those Devils! :o  You gotta hand it to them.  They slaughtered the Rangers. :applaud:  They're just too damn good right now.)

So now it's basically "Yay for anyone left who isn't the Red Wings, which happens to be everyone left!"

With the Lauries (sp) did to the Blues this past season has just gotme so down on hockey thisseason.  If the Wings get thier asses kicked, at least it wouldn't be a totally bad season.

Playoffs without the Leafs does sound kinda wierd.

Dougie Weight and the Canes knocked out the Habs!   :o
Sabers grounded the Flyers

I'm a little surprised the NHL hasn't overturned the Red Wings/Oilers series.  why is it that every announcer has impressions of Red Wing Ball sack on their chin?

I hate the red wings with EVERY OUNCE OF MY BEING.

Devils fan here.  Can't find who they will be playing though....

If devils can't win, I'd root from some canadians....

Except leafs or ottawa.

Good to see the flyers knocked out.  I hate watching flyers home games during the playoffs.  Most "boo-ing" audience in the NHL.  It gets to the point where you have to turn off the sound to enjoy the game.  I mean, those fans would boo Bambi (if bambi managed to get the puck away from a flyer).

By Bambi, I of course mean the fluffy cartoon baby deer, not some porn star with big 'uns.  Although, they would most likely boo that bambi too.  :P

What a disgusting end to the year for my Wings.  Four :censored: goals in the 3rd period!?!?!?!?!?!? To me the worst part of this is the possibility that Steve Yzerman may have played his last game as a Detroit Red Wing.  :(  For all the Detroit haters in this thread, I'm willing to bet most of you can at least respect Steve Yzerman for the kind of player and leader he is. I'm glad he was able to win at least 3 Stanely Cups with the Wings, but sometimes I have to wonder what could have/should have been with all the promise the team has shown in the regular season. Bah. We had a good run over the last 10 years with 3 cups. I wasn't sure what would happen with the team this year after the coaching and player changes. Fortunately, but also unfortunately in playoff terms, not a lot changed. As for who's still left, I guess Go Oilers or anyone but the Avalanche!
