ive been forced to use IE for yahoo mail, dagnammit!
« on: May 01, 2006, 03:13:30 am »

some setting has changed somewhere. yahoo works in IE but not firefox. ive been using firefox for about 3 months and no probs. any ideas what kinda setting would change? would it be in windows (im using xp pro) or in firefox? ive had a bit of a poke around in the firefox tools section but i cant tell if anything significant is different.

what is happening is that when i try to send a message, or click 'reply' on an email there is no text box for me to type anything in. the buttons are there to send and attach etc but i cant actually type anything to send! any ideas anyone?

check under firefox  tools/options/content?
is java/javascript/load images enabled?
and load images 'for originating website only' unchecked?
or maybe something is set under allowed sites/exceptions/etc
that is blocking something you need for this?

if its workin for missioncontrol, prob a setting in your browser
is @#!#@#'n with it.
thats one noobs .02 anyway.

yeah, it has the same things checked. just in case, i added yahoo.com, www.yahoo.com and www.yahoo.co.uk in the allowed thingo although i cant see why it would be needed now and not previously...

well, just checked yahoo again. still no go...

hah! i knew if i just left it, it would fix itself (",)

i suspect its something to do with the fact that i have to use system restore after recording TV on my pc. i have to system restore to get the fm tuner to work again after recording. go figure. of course i should try re-installing THAT too, but where does it end?
