Nearly finished - Hardwood Standup control panel
« on: April 23, 2006, 02:52:26 am »
This started off as a cabinet, however I decided to make standalone controls so I can play the games off my data projector.

Along with putting together the projector screen, sound system, the box that runs all my games and this it's been about 6 months....

Nearly finished and I thought I would post a teaser pick....I am pretty happy with it so far.

I was never a fan of "furniture cabs", but I have to say for the size of that and what it does, it looks incredible.
Love it. How is the projected image?

I have a 65" TV, and my buddies and I played some horizontal games on it. Pretty funny to see the buggy in Moon Patrol a foot and a half long. Can't imagine it projected to 120" or whatever.  :o

The projectoed image looks great....once I have finished it (should be a couple of weeks I think) I will post up some picks of it in action in front of the screen.

Thanks for the positive feedback.  :D

Nice!

That's great how you could put it up against a wall when not in use too...

I agree.  I don't like that look on a full cab, but on a control panel, the results can be great.  This standup version is an example of just that.
