Started projects and you
« on: April 19, 2006, 03:57:17 pm »
My uncompleted project list. Tell me I am not alone in collecting things to do. Wife started complaining again.

1. Finish my cabinet
2. 50's Vendorator 144 Pepsi machine.
3. Iguana cage for my son
4. Start rebuilding my 1963 Cadillac
5. Old 50's stove that someone had redone but unassembled.
6. Ms. Pacman Cocktail (just got it)

These are just at the top of the list.
The king of 1/2 done projects

1. Finish the slot car table
2. Finish the arcade cabinet
    (It's #2, because I bought a game, so I'm in no hurry
to take up the little space I have left)
3. Finish(start) my website
4. Learn to play the electrical guitar I bought
(not a building project, but something that I had good intentions
     about doing, when I started)
5. Finish/Fly the remote control airplane (I bought it 15 years ago)
6. Build storage cabinets in my garage

haha... oh boy, I haven't written this out in a while.

- Finish my Xmen based MAME cab (the 1st machine I ever bought like 3 years ago or more.  I HAVE done others, but this was the one that I would actually keep for myself)
- Finish the practically done bartop in my basement (again, 2nd I've built, but this one I might actually keep)
- I've been meaning to back up my PC for the past 3-4 months, and still haven't
- Just got a new Sega cocktail that's sitting in the shed
- The shell of a once Mortal Kombat machine in the shed has to have something done to it.
- Get my other Xbox working again (I think the modchip died)
- Set up the new Xbox correctly.

And most importantly, and the reason none of the others are getting done:
- Get through all the work and projects that professors have made due these coming last 2 weeks of the semester.  Don't you love how they suddenly realize "crap... I don't have any grades for you guys"   :banghead:
first off your and idiot

Man I love the internet, haha.

- Finish arcade cab that has been on hold since I stepped up my school-load.  Could come this Summer.  If not, god help me cos I don't know when else it will get done after that.
- Finish degree (hopefully December....May '07 at the latest)
- Go to law school (Sept. 07)
- Become fabulously wealthy
- Rule world
- Imprison and/or execute Fredster

1. Finish monster control panel for current cabinet.
2. Publish yet another failure of a book, (ah, I'm such an optimist).
3. Level the front yard.
4. Level the back yard.
5. Figure out why I even bought a house WITH a yard.
6. Replace wall to wall carpeting in the house with laminate or hardwood flooring.
7. Clean up the MAME/MAMEWAH install on the current MAME box.
8. Clean out the cases of the seemingly endless number of electronic devices in use in my home.
9. Get the Atari 2600 and NES emulators workin' on the MAME machine.

Step 1 - Fix hole in front of wife's face.  Keeps opening.
Step 2 - Get a beer and enjoy the silence
Step 3 - Stop worrying about making lists of crap to do

That's my 3 step plan for success.  The first step may require repeated attempts, but on the bright side, the last two steps always have to follow the repating of step 1, and that ain't all bad.

Let me know if you find a reliable solution to step 1?

It depends on what you classify as started.  I have plans drawn out for a few projects, but I haven't bought the lumber or done anything more then sketch them out yet.  If you consider that as starting a project, then I have a few.
-Dining room table mame cabinet - I put it on hold until works picks up so I won't have a funding problem, although now it'll be bumped back until after I finish the next two projects I'm listing.

-Custom Bed frame and headboard- I just started sketching this one last weekend, I may buy the wood and start on it this weekend.

-Mini-mame cabinet- I actually haven't done anything on this yet, but I plan on it being a christmas present for my 5 year old niece and 4 year old nephew so I have plenty of time before it needs to be done.

-jukebox- put on hold until my house gets built (who knows when that'll be, another year maybe) and I have more room.

Duct tape.  Make sure to get at least a 200 yard roll.  It'll help fasten her hands in place when they try to help you ;)

Oh, and pick several colors.  If you get one that clashes with her outfit, you might as well just keep it on there forever rather than let her tell you how it doesn't match her shoes, purse, socks, ankle mole, armpit hair, whatever ::) ;)
