My sister once drown a bunch of baby chicks when she was young.  My parents found her sitting by the pool saying "Swim duck, swim duck" while holding the chicks underwater.  She wasn't old enough to realize what she was doing.

Well this guy obviously was old enough to know better and it appears to be an accident.  What gets me is he said he bought the chickens to eat.  They're going to be dead anyway!  Yet he is facing a $5000 fine or up to year in jail!  Whatever happened to common sense?

This story doesn't make sense.

It says he could get a 5000 dollar fine, and up to a year in prison, but it says the leaving an animal inside a stopped car is a 100 dollar fine per animal.  3 chickens should be a 300 dollar fine.

It also states that 10 of his family members returned to the car with three shopping carts.  That's 11 people, 3 chickens and groceries in a Taurus.

Common sense would be to buy your groceries first, then pick up the live chickens, or at least have a cage or box to store the chickens in.

As if what the big poultry companies do isn't "cruel" by these standards (ripping beaks off and boiling them while still alive).

This is idiotic.

I saw an interview with Alice Cooper and he was like, "People were bocotting me and burning my album.  Boycott KFC....they kill seven million chickens per day."

Colonel Sanders USED to sell chicken....  then, after he died and the franchise became KFC, things changed and not necessarily for the better.....  greasy, undercooked meat, instant potatoes and gravy, premade slaw.....

and now, to top it off, the merger with Long John Silvers with both in the same restaurant.....
