D9200 + ArcadeVGA = black screen????
« on: April 18, 2006, 05:24:56 am »
hello again,

I have a Wells Gardner D9200 and I have a PC with an ArcadeVGA in it. I have checked my setup etc and I am happy with everything as is. Everything works fine on a standard monitor (with a different Graphics card obviously). When I try to connect everything to the D9200, I don't get any visuals i.e. a black screen. I do believe that there is a signal (since the "no signal" screen is not there) , it's just that the screen is black. What do I need to do in this case? Do I manually have to set the monitor to support 15Hkz? Do I need to modify something on the PC ? I cannot install any ArcadeVGA drivers since I don't get a screen. What is wrong with this setup??

Please help.

Thank you so much in advance!

:-\  Mmmm solved that problem on my own. Turns out that the D9200 monitor out of the box was set to CGA/EGA and not VGA. I switched the plug around, got a screen and installed the ArcadeVGA. Another problem that I now get however is the following; whenever I try to start a game through Mame, the output signal seems to change and the PC just reboots, back into windows. I don't have any issues with PC Engine, SNES SEGA games, just the MAME roms. I am using the latest version of Mamewah and this works fine.

Anybody any clue as to why this happens?
