You only need the p version if you want to run at 1024x768, which is pretty and the dot pitch is finer than the other models.
Yea the shipping costs suck for residential but for buisness its only 25 bucks more than a wells gardner.
I had mine home dilivered so i could get it on a saturday, i wouldn't do it agian when i get my second one, i will take time off work to go get it.

the CAOQ looks to be the best bang for your buck. It supports higher resolutions than both wells and betson, (supports svga)..I just dont think that they cbop is something I would need in my cab considering its hdtv resolutions....

you would only need the higher res if you put in future consoles, like an xbox 360 and ps3.
My next goal is to hack 2 DOA 4 sticks and put DOA 4 and a 360 in my cab. 1024x768 look awesome on this monitor.

Are they on sale or something? If so let me know when it ends. Do these prices go for all locations? Last time I checked they were about $100 more. :o

The best thing about the hi-res one that I have found in use is that the 1024x768 mode works very well with my arcadevga card and vertical games.   Because you need hardware stretch off with the arcadevga card the vertical games were always very small.  With the extra lines of resolution it can run the vertcals pretty much full screen.  It is also great for vector games and pinball games.  I have owned the betson and the WG and I think the billabs is the finest piece of hardware out of the bunch.

So, if you are using an arcadevga card I would say it is the best choice.  If you are just using a standard VGA card with hardware stretch truned on then it probably will not matter much.
