New Multi Sync Monitor
« on: April 06, 2006, 05:10:55 pm »
Has anyone here ever replaced or known anyone that replaced the Monitor in a New Astrocity? I would like to replace the current one (minor screen burn). I was wondering if anyone can suggest a Multi-Sync monitor sold in the United States that would replace the Nanao. One that will fit right and look right cosmetically. Thanks!

I've read there isnt a perfect fit out there, but you can dremel around the bezel.

Any idea what the closet fit would be? Brand? I could handle adjusting or redrilling mounting brackets. I just don't want it to be visible from the outside.

I replaced the 29"ers in both of my cabs with 27" Betson monitors - neither were bolt compatible with the original monitors but 1 was close enough it fit in the cab anyway and screwing the bezel in secured it.  The other I had to swap the frame as there was too much open space to mount / seat with anything except the existing frame.

Neither were an Astro City, so YMMV.
