Rapid River
« on: April 06, 2006, 01:50:48 am »
Check it out. Some people might remember the photos I posted a few months back with burned out cabs, junked cabs, etc. Among them was a Rapid River.

Well, preservationists will be happy to know that the boardset rests happily in Guru's home. I wasn't sure that it was bought by the MAME team until I checked Guru's page this morning. Sweetness. I would have donated it outright, but it wasn't on his "most wanted" page. So I offered it up with a BIN of 100$ and it was gone just like that.

So when Rapid River is emulated, and you're paddling down some digital river in the comfort of your home, remember this photograph:

That pic's hilarious.  I'm reminded of how many times that stupid paddle breaks at where I work.  Just like our old Final Furlong, it needs new metal parts every few months.  Now I'm waiting, once it's emulated, for some enterprising byoac member to attach a paddle to his/her frankenpanel. :laugh2:
It doesn't matter if you win or lose....it's how you play the videogame.
