How to use ColorGenie and ColecoAdam with MESS emulator
« on: April 02, 2006, 09:25:20 am »
1) When I start MESS for a ColecoAdam game, then the game starts but I can not determine how to turn on keyboard input. Basically, I can not find out how to move around. When I click "TAB" then I would expect the Mame-like "Input to the Game" option to be displayed but it does not. Worst of it is I can not determine how to exit MESS either (ie: ESC seems to reset the game rather than exit), so I must use the TaskManager to kill it.

Does anyone emulate ColecoAdam? If so, what emulator do you use? If you use MESS, then how do I get it to interact with the keyboard.

2) Does anyone know how to configure MESS for ColorGenie?

I realized I had to UNZIP my ColorGenie roms and rename the ".EXE" files to ".BIN" files so MESS would load the game.   Now the game simply displays a prompt asking me "MEM SIZE?" What do I do here?

3) Are the ColecoAdam games simply a subset of ColecoVision games? I do not really want to spend time trying to get ColecoAdam games working if they are all basically duplicates.

4) Are there any MameWah layouts for these?
