Atari Road Riot 4WD Restore
« on: March 28, 2006, 12:16:17 pm »
Picked this up the other day for next to nothing - so I'm really excited to get to work on it. I've built a MAME cocktail and upright from scratch, but this is my first restore.

A couple of questions:

1. The monitors both work but the one on the left is slightly dim and the one on the right has  "jail bars" some of the time. I'm thinking they both need cap kits. Any suggestions about the monitor would be great.

2. The Marquee is totaly intact but is dried out and slightly curled on the bottom; has anyone tried to soften the marquee by soaking it? If so, what could I use.

3. As you can see from the pictures I have no seats. Any leads on a rollcage or seats would be great. I know that they are hard to come by...

4. Everything powers up just fine - should I be concerned about the power supply? It's old and dirty - any suggestions on cleaning it?

Thanks to everyone who posts here; this has been an invaluable resource.
