Mess Startup Screen
« on: March 27, 2006, 09:17:24 pm »
Sorry for the wierd subject, but I didn't know what to call it.

I've been playing around with MESS to emulate the Atari 5200, 7800, and Coleco.  When you load a ROM is give you two displays bascially asking you to hit any key.  I've found a website with a step by step on how to recompile MESS, but which file do I need to change (and what do I need to change) before I recompile it?

If anyone can help me, or if you've already done this and are willing to share your compiled version of MESS, please let me know.

Thanks again for putting up with a newbie.

Go into the Messgui, Options, Default System Options.  Click the Miscellaneous tab and check 'Skip System Info' and 'Skip Warnings'.  I believe this'll take care of the majority of your problems.

Thanks.  That was exactly what I was looking for.

Then, after you told me that I saw how to create a config file ("mess -cc") and they are options in there.

Thanks again.
