Legal MP3 downloads
« on: March 26, 2006, 12:22:59 pm »
Does anyone know of a decent legal mp3 download site? I have been using Virgin Digital but all the files DL as WMAs and i need MP3s for use with a particular program. I have tried to convert from WMA > MP3 but I cannot convert them as they are DRM protected.

Any recommendations? The bigger the availiable file list the better.

Thanks.

www.allofmp3.com

It's about a dime a song.  Russian based, for the moment, it's okay.  You can buy music using Paypal, so fairly safe.

there are ways to convert wma to mp3 even if it is security encoded.  I'm not an expert on the subject so I can't name any software off the top of my head, but at the very worst you'll have to record the outgoing sound from your computer.  Theres always ways to copy audio.

Tunebite is your friend.  And well worth the small amount it costs:

I use newsgroups. Of course, I own EVERY song I download from their servers is merely a copy of a song I already own on CD, but am to lazy to burn so of course its legal.
