These layouts are not compatible with the 14.1 , you need the 0.15 .

I changed something in layout format. Old layout are still compatible with the new version , but new layout may don't work on the old version of Atomic.

Hi,

you have to use the AtomicLayoutManager.  And read the documentation , there is tutorial for that. (inside the doc folder).

I'm writing a new layout editor , because the current one is very awfull. But i don't know when the new one will be ready.

Yes, it should be lot of more easier , and completly visual and mouse driven.

I 'm currently busy writing it. It depends of my charge of work (my real job). I think a first version should ready in about 1 month.  But i plan to release it with the next version of Atomic. This tool will be ready for  a new generation of enhanced layout.

It is not yet really defined. It will depend on the time i have.  But in the next version i don't think they will be major visible change. It will just prepare the way to the others major enhancement i planned. I prefer keep secret on what i planned.  I just can say that a new configuration tool is planned and then a real updatedate documentation!  :)
