vertical monitor games?
« on: March 12, 2006, 10:52:45 am »
I know vertical shooters and pac-man/donkey kong type games benefit from vertical monitora but is there any thing else? I have a cab with a nice vertical monitor in it and I have no idea what I want to do with the cab. I was thinking making it just for vertical mame games but I was thinking it would get old quick. Is there any high end vertical shooters for a pc that would look good and are fun to play? Also would pinball emus be good on a vert?

I guess you have to have been there  for the vertical games.
Those games never get old.
If I ever had to go to 1 cab. My vertical one it would be

I agree I started with a horizontal cab but play the vertical cocktail more. It reminds me more of my yoof. There are some pretty good high end vertical shooters on mame like the Raiden series. Most PC monitors are horizontal so I doubt you will find many vertical shooters.
You could always rotate the monitor if the cabinet allows.
