any Western Mass techs out there
« on: March 12, 2006, 10:38:17 am »
I've got an original NFL Blitz video game with a monitor issue.  The game plays blind.  The monitor is making a ticking noise, and when I checked the multilmeter the monitor board didn't appear to be receiving any power.  Is this even possible?  I checked the boards on my other games and got a reading.  At this point I'm throwing up the white flag and looking for assistance.  If you live in WMASS and have the technical know how to help me out I'm willing pay for all the parts, beer if necessary, and a reasonable amount for labor,  I would even be willing to load the game up and bring it to you.  Help.  If you're interested please contact me.  Thanks

a ticking noise is the monitor onboard supply in protect, depending on your chassis type you will probably need a cap kit,a new h.o.t and poss feed cap.

Yeah, it's probably closer for him than me.  I'm just over the MA border, near Greenfield.
