Wells gardner 19k4915 Help
« on: March 11, 2006, 01:16:02 pm »
Hi I was wondering if any out there can help me with my problem. I have an Atari APB arcade game and the graphics are messed up.I thought it was something to do with the actual pcb board of the game so I replaced that and i am stilling having the same problem. My problem is that I am basically seeing double or triple images on the screen like the graphics are not converging. I tried to adjust it with no luck. The original monitor and chassis which was a 19k7915 medium resolution has been replaced with an RCA 19vltp22 monitor with what I believe is a 19k4914 chassis. I have been told that this new monitor and chassis is from a gauntlet game and that the 19k4914 is a standard resolution board. Since APB needs a medium resolution board I have been told that I need to get a 19k4915 medium resolution chassis for the monitor to replace the 19k4914 chassis that is in the game right now and if I do that it will solve my problem. Is this correct or is there something else causing this display problem. Also if i do need a 19k4915 medium resolution chassis does any know where I can get one. Your help would be greatly appreciated and if it helps i can post pictures of the graphic problems I am having.

Thanks

Yes you are correct. A medium res monitor will fix your double image problem.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the 4900s came in medium res.

Yes, there's a special medium res 4900 as there is also a medium res model in the k7000 series. I have not encountered any of them though.

I knew about the K7000s, but didn't know about the 4900s.   Learn something new every day.

For future reference, you don't need to make a new thread for all this, keep it contained to one.
