Indy 500 start How do you?
« on: March 08, 2006, 10:04:01 am »
Anybody ever played Indy500? I cannot find out how to start the game. Everything else seems to test out but where is the start button? usually Player 1 (#1 key) is the start but this doesnt seem to work. Any ideas? Thanks!

Did you ever play this game at the arcade? You need to remember that mame emulates the game as close as possible. So, if the game didn't have a start button - then neither will the emulator. Take Rampage for example... to start rampage at the arcade you would hit the punch button (or maybe jump) either way - not the #1 button.

So... not all games use the #1 key. Hit the tab key and see how it's configured.

When I load the game it says:

"THIS GAME DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY"

so maybe thats the issue?
