Know of a good place for legacy PC parts?

Hey all, i recently got an electronics catalog that was selling Intel 486DX2 processors, but no motherboards for them. I'd love to build a machine or two with 80 Mhz of fun inside, as that's what doom 1 and 2 ran on, but ebay is a barrel of monkeys, and google didnt get much results. Does anyone know a place dedicated to legacy parts for PCs?

I'll look around. Thanks. I might just screw nostalgia and build an 800 Mhz machine. At leat that can play Halo with a sound card and video card installed to save on CPU usage.

I think I may still have a 486DX2-50 populated on a motherboard with memory sticks hiding in a box in the office warehouse.

There's several other legacy AT system boards, complete systems that could be parted, and other misc stuff that I just never got around to clearing out including many different ISA cards etc.

I cleared a couple of pallets of legacy Apple stuff few moons ago to another BYOAC member.

If you are interested in any of this legacy AT stuff and perhaps some P1 systems as well I would be happy to investigate further.....you can have any or all for the cost of shipping.

do you have any more aples really need a dedicated marathon computer?

and id be interested in an isa sound card that would be good for a dos based dedicated mame setup.  mine doesnt have dos drivers that work and they keep showing their autoconfig on startup which hides mame.

I just cleared a box of ISA soundblasters, video, and other misc cards that were on my garage shelves from household upgrades over the years a few weeks ago in a cheap lot on E-Pay.

I'm sure there are more in the office warehouse from system upgrades there over the years....I will take a quick inventory on Monday and report.

What are you looking for?  I have 2 or three 486-level motherboards that I'd love to get rid of.  I think one is even VLB and I have VLB video and super-IO cards.

I also have a bunch of ISA modems, network cards, and sound cards.  Plus a few ISA SCSI cards, I think. 

Oh, and I have a bunch of 30-pin and 72-pin memory and an evergreen 486 processor upgrade too.

Anything else you need, I probably have too.

If you want it, give me an address and I'll mail it all to you.  I'll even pay the postage.  I just want to see it go to a loving home.  I hate to put it out on the curb.

A few months ago, I put an old radio shack flex-atx (AT?) (486-33) computer and an old dell flex-atx (AT?) computer (486-50) on the curb.  About killed me to do it.

Of course, the day after I tossed it, I needed the Radio Shack case for a project I'm working on.  Figures.
