It probably weighs a couple hundred pounds, but the t.v. comes out easy and the control panel comes off, so it won't be that bad when moving.  BTW, here is a pic I took of myself yesterday(Don't mind the office tan):  ;D

Geez, thanks a lot!  I was configuring all day today.  I had an issue with the dual monitor stuff, and I at least have them both working.

I want to stress very highly:

I would like to thank Howard Casto for the suggestion to use component video.  It is an amazing quality difference compared to s video.  Thanks a ton Howard!  This bud's for you!

How does small text look on the screen through component video?

Very legible.  It almost looks like a computer monitor.  Not quite, but bells better than s video.  That was one of the main reasons that I wanted dual screen.

Hello all. New here, but I wanted to comment on this cab. It is looking most excellent.

I have a question as well. This looks to be the exact layout I want for my cp when I finally am able to build it in about 8-10 months when my house is done. Would you be willing to send me a copy of the layout you have done in the original Photoshop or Illustrator files? I promise to credit you in my eventual project announcement.

Immitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Thanks,
John

Awesome!  ;D

I've been checking out as many of these projects as possible, and all of them are great. I am very excited to get started, and your cp is exactly what I'm looking for. Golden Tee and SF2 are going to get the most play on my machine, which seems to be how you've designed your cp.

I'm pretty sure Mark was kidding with ya there.  I don't know what I'm gonna do with it yet.  Probably tear apart my cp and add it right in front of the trackball.

Hey McCoy:

The monitor looks great - nice color saturation.  Can you take a pic of just the screen running GT2K so I can see how sharp the small text is?

I am currently running it with s video.  I installed powerstrip yesterday, so I may tinker with the component very soon.  I will say this, when I had it up and running, it was very very clear. :applaud:

Put the freaking marquee in and install the T-molding.  You're almost done - don't quit.

I'm still plugging away.  I get to bring it home tomorrow.  I do have the t molding installed, but sadly, I ruined the marquee.  I'll have to order another one from Scott.  I had some scotch tape on it to hold it in place and it tore so easy. :badmood:  Ah, what's another $25, right? :banghead:

I was just about to say.  You think the arcade is neat, wait until you see the jukebox I have planned.

I made it home today with the arcade.  It will be setup in the garage for a couple weeks in case I want to finish anything.  Eventually I'll have more pics!  Now to get powermame to work. :applaud:

Why powermame?  What features does it provide above and beyond the others?  Also, you've probably mentioneded it somewhere in this thread, but what front end are you going with?  Thanks.

Powermame supports the autoswitching for all 4 of his 49-way joysticks

Powermame supports some extra functionality for his Led-Wiz button lighting system.

I fired up powermame last night and I was quite amazed that when I hit pause, the machine started speaking to me.  Very cool feature that Mike added.  I will have more pictures.  Be patient.

Note:  Powermame has not been known to cause cancer in lab rats in California.  But they could probably code that in.

Currently mamewah, but I am in the very very early stages of this.  I will be researching much more in depth as time goes along.  I'm just working on getting it playable.  With s video on the t.v. it fits but is black and white, with component, it is amazing but doesn't fit the screen, so I have to work on all that first.

If you get it to fit, please let me know how.  I've tried running Mamewah in 640x432, but it just flat out dies when I start it up.  My plan was to create a skin that just doesn't use the very top and bottom, but that just seems ugly.

McCoy - quit dicking around.  Put a 27" Multisync monitor in there with an ArcadeVGA card.  You can put in a secondary PCI VGA card to run the LCD.  I'll buy your 27" TV monitor for my Dreamcast cabinet.  That way we'll both be happy.

You know what?  You just gave me a great idea.  I'm gonna build that xbox cabinet and I could use the t.v. in that one and get a monitor for the cabinet.  It's gonna be hard to swing $500 though. :banghead:  Dang you Markrvp!!!
