Z26 controls - remapping
« on: June 08, 2002, 06:02:35 pm »
I have Z26 in my MAME cabinet but would like to change the Player 2 controls and the START/RESET buttons to match those of MAME.

Does anyone have a recompilation of Z26 that does this?  I was trying to figure out how to recompile it but thats beyond my tchnical competence.  It seems like the kind of thing someone must have done.

I would have used the ArcadeOS remapkeys features but that doesn't seem to work on any of the Atari2600 emus that I have tried (I know it is supposed to but I put alot of time into trying unsuccessfuly).

Any thoughts are appreciated, Thanks.

Well, I'm glad he did!!!!!!

I was having the exact same problem as the original poster, PR, had.
After doing a few searches of the forums, I found Fat-Trucker's reply.
Thanks F-T!

Hopefully, one of those two recompiled versions of z26 will do what i want.

Actually, you really want this one which allows you to change any key from the specified .ini file:
