ATI Rage 128 or GF TI4200 for Kortek 27" trisync??
« on: February 26, 2006, 02:00:18 pm »
hey everybody..  I just got my Kortek/Betson 27"  multisync this week and I'm dying to get my Mame PC set up to try it out!   ;D

Before I do though.. I want to know which videocard would be best and hopefully allow me to get 15k and 25khz modes.   ATI Rage 128 or GeForce TI4200?  I know the Ti4200 is the superior card for performance but I'm mainly concern about running Mame in Native resolutions.

If neither of those cards will suffice is there a cheap card that will get me by?  ArcadeVGA is more than I think I want to spend at the moment..  maybe something under $50?

Thanks!  ;D

EDIT:  Also I'm confused about what I found on the AdvanceMame site.  It said it supports the TI4200* but...

"The cards marked with (*) don't support interlaced modes. "

I thought all arcade resolutions where interlaced??  so what good would it do if it didn't support them?   ???
