The Dreamcast version of the MGCD is designed to connect a DC with a 15khz std res monitor via the JAMMA harness. Unless you really want the limited game play (not all games are supported by MGCD) and the on screen insert coin messages you'd be best served by using the MGCD to interface controls and purchase a Dreamcast VGA adapter for the visuals. This is of course if you insist on using a MGCD. By using the MGCD you do limit your play by time unless you hack the MGCD and bypass that section of the logic board.

It would be far cheaper to hack some pads or buy some from HarumaN and purchase a VGA adapter. Total cost would be about $70 to have the DC in hi-res with your cab.

There are other ways to do it as well. But depending on if you are planning on your cab being dedicated Dreamcast or if you are planning on running JAMMA boards in there as well or if you want to add additional consoles it can all be done.

Hope this helps,
