Conversion of my Ikari Warriors 3 into a Neo Geo Cabinet
« on: February 21, 2006, 01:38:22 pm »
Well, I love this cabinet.  But I want a Neo Geo.  I am beginning to asses the amount of work involved, but I have a neo geo 4 slot control panel lexan and CP, weird 4 slot marquee, 4 slot board, games and a complete Ikari 3 cabinet.  So....I am gutting my dynamo cabinet and making a unique cabinet.

Currently, I have gone to the Home Depot (supporting my local company, screw u Lowes!) and got some heavy duty paint remover.  Theres plenty of old paint and some rust on the CPO that needs a cleaning.  So naturally I need to get it off and take it to my dads metal shop to be buffed out.  This stuff is awesome! it was incredible watching it destroy the paint!  I tried it on my sister project, millipede, but the CPO is so gunky, I need to get some adhesive remover because this stuff couldnt even get it off.  Anyways, this stuff is awesome.

I don't have any pics up yet because I need to find a good way to take digital pics (right now I am stuck using a cell phone).  Anyways, I will keep you posted because I have some exciting ideas on what I am planning on doing to this cab.

Ok, I didn't know what to work on yet so I worked on the fun part, I painted the metal cover to the 4 slot!  travis showed me his painted 4 slot and ever since then, I knew I wanted to paint mine a bright red like that; it really makes it look awesome!

Right now, I have only the top part painted.  When I get home tonight, I'm tackling the bottom part of it.
