AtomicFE and gameslists
« on: February 19, 2006, 07:45:53 am »
Can anyone help me with setting up gameslists in AtomicFE the documention does not explain it very well.  I want to select individual roms and put them in a list.  Then how do I access this list when the fe boots.  Normally all the games are there, so I want to be able to go to my list I created.

Thanks

Jason

There are a few way to do it.  One is using Atomic Multiconfiwizard.  Launch Atomic Multiconfiwizard and select Genri.ini from the drop down, then next, then move the categories that you want to the right side of the window or just move them all.  Click next then select your atomic.cfg file.  Then right click on atomic.sel and select add Node.  And name it Arcade, Mame what ever you want.  Then right click and add wizard generated leaf and use ctr or shift to highlight the categories you want in your list.  Click next two more time then finish.  Next time you launch Atomic you will have your game list.
You can also do this using atomic manager by selecting use predefined game list under the advanced tab.  That will give you a game list tab where you can select your categories.

Hi,

GonzoBrian said right.

But using the multiconf_wizard , you don't have to much control on game lists generated. List are based on INI file and you can not remove one specific game from the list. (or you can do that by editing generated file with the notepad).

If you plan to have only one list (no multiconf) , it is better to do that using AtomicManager.
On the Advanced Tab , you check "use predefined gamelist" AND check "let Atomic choose file names" , then go on the "GAME LIST" tab that appears, and build your list as you want.
You can as well build your list by putting games one by ones or using automatic category transfert.
