ultimate mortal kombat 3 arcade power problem
« on: February 16, 2006, 10:56:59 pm »
Hello My friend has a MK3 arcade machine and the board isnt getting power up to the tube i found a resistor burnt badly but for 1 not sure what ohms it is and watts either I guessed the size and replaced it with a 10 watt 160 ohm resistor and no problems then i changed it to a 15 watt 100 ohm resistor but still no screen there is no high voltage and the filiment lights in the tube are not lit up but it all has great sound im pretty sure the video is fine but just need to get power up to the picture tube any suggestions would be great its a Eygo board this is the second time i have worked on these games first was a pinball machine but with a easier solution this is just strange to me and also 1 more thing in this board i found to horizontal output chips but no regulator it has never been worked on before so is this right though? i have never seen anything like that before so if no solution to the problem i really need to know what ohms and watt the resistor is i dont know the number on it but its a vertical resistor with 1 leg soldered on the board and the other in going to a ground stand if that makes sense i forgot the name of the resistor liek i said any help would be great or a place to get a schematic for it thanks

Marty

so what your saying is your monitor is not working, first tell me your input voltage and your monitor model and we can proceed from there.
