Use my 17" pc monitor or 19" tv that does not have s-vid
« on: February 15, 2006, 10:08:00 pm »
Ok,

I know this is a lame question, but I want some opinions.  I have an old 17" pc monitor sitting around the house, and I have a 21" tv (old no s vid or even vga ports, have to use a coax adapter thingy).

I've been reading about all of the quality issues, and if the tv had s-vid it would seem I should go with it.  But it does not, so I am wondering if I should stick with the pc monitor?

I will also start hunting around for a 19 or 21" monitor for a good price...maybe I'll get lucky.  ::)

All comments not reiterating how lame I am are appreciated.

Thanks!

all pc or arcade monitors will always have more superior quality picture than a tv,even using s-vid,scart or rgb.you will always get signal loss on a tv but it depends how particular you are about your picture-a 17 inch monitor is very small,i am sure you would be able to pick up a good recon 20" to 28" monitor for a good price.i can buy a brand new hantarex polostar 28" for about 300 pounds in the u.k
