I need help...Xbox to PC (ftp)

I am trying to transfer files (daphne 96) on to my xbox and I am having no luck.  I just bought a crossover cable today and still no luck.  I looked at several tutorials and still luck.  When I run flash fxp it says lost connection retry in 120 seconds.  I have tried qwix and no luck either.  can anyone help?

with the uderstanding gooles/froggles is my friend I cant still seem to find what the problem is.  and yes this time i did use the neat button called search and no previous post with the same issue.

Does the hhd have to be unlocked?  I have a modded xbox w/ a 160 gig hhd (maxtor or great w) running avalach.

Avalaunch should have a FTP client built into it.

You should be able to go into your avalaunch network settings to see the IP address, user name, etc to FTP from your PC to your xbox.  Any reasonable FTP client on the PC will do.  You may also have to configure your IP address to be on the same subnet as the xbox.  (i.e. windows internal IPs are usually 192.168.x.x, I think avalaunch might give you a 10.0.0.x number, these need to be in the same range)

I'm not real familiar with flash fxp or qwix...  are these FTP programs for the xbox?  If that's the case, just hop into your front end and use a FTP client on your PC to transfer the files over to the xbox rather than the other way around.

I have a mac and use RBrowser as my FTP client on the mac, connecting to the built in FTP client in unleashX.

Pretty much what slycred said.  Go to your Network Connections, right click on Local Area Network and select Properties.  Then select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and set your IP address to 192.168.1.1 and subnet mask to 255.255.255.0 leave the Gateway blank.  Then go into the network settings in Avalaunch and set your IP to 192.168.1.2 and the same subnet mask as before.  You will probably need to reboot your Xbox at this point.  Then open up FlashFXP and hit the F4 button to bring up the Site Manager.  Click the New Site button and put the IP as 192.168.1.2 and both the username and password should be xbox.  Then click the Connect button and you should be good to go.

FlashFXP is a FTP client.  Quix is just used for Managing Xbox ISO's on your xbox Hard Drive.  It isn't used for transfering Home Brew aplications to your xbox.

I may be wrong but IIRC the one I had most success with was 'FTP Commander'.

OT does anyone know of a scandisk type app for xbox?  My HDD seems to be playing up
