VGA input on tv

Does anyone have any info on how well a VGA input on a tv would work? I found a Panasonice Tv/Monitor that accepts standard VGA input and says it supports VGA/SVGA...I was wondering if this would be better quality than an S video input? Any info would be great

Since it supports it natively, it should be the best quality for that TV, though probabley not as good as a real VGA monitor.
Is this an HDTV set or is it one of those 35" VGA/TV combo that Gateway used to sell?
