Anybody heard of or use quick chat for firefox?
« on: February 08, 2006, 11:33:33 pm »
I just installed this and it looks really cool.  I just right click at any site and anyone else using this can chat as well.  Pretty neat stuff.  If anyone else gets it, let me know.

not heard of it before - only chatzilla the extension for irc.  Have now installed it and will give it a go.  Pity there's nobody on here with it enabled.  Looks pretty cool for those that are too lazy to go into the chatroom.  Downside is it splits the screen with a horizontal bar.  webpage at the top, chat at the bottom.

I would highly recommend it for noobs.  I know a lot of the guys don't go to the chat because of the java.  I use mirc for the chat, but this would be cool for quick issues.  Since there are about a million lurkers on here, I bet once in a while they would help out a question thrown out there.  Sometimes quick questions aren't that bad.

Not a fan of the java client... I'm sure lots of people (myself included) would jump into the chatroom if the server details were accessible.  Chatzilla is easy enough to run.

Works fine, just as long as you don't open up another tab in firefox.  Tried to open my email and it booted me out.

Edit: You need to hit the 1st of the four buttons on the far right.  Keeps that chat open as you surf.
