HELP with Electrohome GO7 Monitor
« on: February 13, 2003, 12:33:36 pm »
Hi,  I bought a Galaxian and when I got it home the monitor was very light with not much red.  I adjusted the monitor and it helped a little but there was some distorsion, like the words had a shadow under them and kinda grainy.  I left it for about 10 minutes and when I came back it looks perfect!  I suspected something warmed up but after letting it sit overnight, it looked great again after start up.  Do I have a loose connection or what.  Another helpful tip is when the monitor was acting up, the test pattern (white lines running vert. and horiz.) showed the horizontal lines very faint but the vert. lines were strong white.  Now that it works, the test pattern is fine.  Any suggestions?  Sorry for so long....Garry

Check out Bob Roberts site, he has a whole section on trouble shooting G07's.

Sounds like a cap kit is needed.
