That card should work fine! What frontend, version of mame and input from the card to the monitor are you using?? I have AVGA, Jpac and MK2 cabinet hooked up and was the easiest setup I have ever done..
Just plug and play!

MK2 is a standard res game, Blitz99 is not.  He has a medium res monitor, which the AVGA will not output a signal for.

I'm not sure how to get a 25KHz signal to a medium res monitor.  It's fairly easy with a standard res one.

You have 3 options that I can think of.

First option:  You can use advancemame which works great but has a bit of a learning curve.  You will need a video card that is compatible with advance mame.  The older ati cards work great along with the trident cards, nvidia, and matrox g400 I believe.  Advance mame is very hard to get to work under windows so u will have to use linux or dos.

Second option:  You can use powerstrip.  There is a write up on how to use powerstrip, it's stickied under this forum.   Powerstrip also requires you to have a compatible video card if you are going to use custom resolutions.  I believe the ati and nvidia cards are pretty good to use with powerstrip.

Third option:  Happ used to sell a Universal Video Converter that would convert vga, svga, and xga signals to either cga or ega.  I heard it works well but the down side was that it costs $200 and is made by ultracade.

Personally I think advmame is the best option if you are willing to take the time to learn it.

Yeah, that's what i thought. Looks like no matter wich way i go with it, it's going to be a pain in the ass.I'm thinking about option 4. Just pull out that monitor and go with the WG D9200 monitor. I have one already and i love it. I planned on using the monitor i pulled out for my MK2 machine because i read on KLOV.com that MK@ was also a 25khz monitor. If i can't use it then it looks like i will have a spare 25kHz monitor hanging around. I just hope that the WGD9200 27" monitor will bolt up the the cab which has a 25" monitor.
Thanks for all the advice guys. I appreciate it.
