Currently tackling three new projects at once. The first on I'm in the process of making is a dedicated Red Earth cab, since I don't think I've ever seen one before. Once I get the battery replaced in the cart, the most difficult part will be done. I just got the marquee today and the kick harness.
This is an old generic style cabinet that I've stripped down and gutted. I put in a transplanted monitor from a World Class Bowling machine I had lying around, as the monitor that came with the cab was going out, and was too poor to resurect. I also put in a new power supply and completely rewired the JAMMA harness a little cleaner than the original one that was in there, just because I like things neat. I was using a Turtles board to test the monitor connections and colors.
Yesterday I cleaned off the CP with some aircraft grade M.E.K I had lying around in the shop (good stuff, too bad you can't get this stuff in this strength in stores)
I also drilled out the medium and heavy "kick" button holes in the metal CP. (drilling metal sucks, no matter how many times you've done it!)
Here's how this cab is looking so far: (soon-to-be-Red Earth cab on the left)

The second is an old Frogger machine. I personally don't like Frogger so much, (too much Frogger as a kid I guess) so I'm planning to make it into a Namco Classics Collection Vol.1 or a Galaga machine.

And the last one is another MAME machine machine to be made from an NFL Blitz 99' cab. The cab had
two boards and
two hard drives in it.
Both were dead....as was the monitor....figures. ^_^
I need a better pic of this cab, but it is HUGE, like a Golden Tee machine. I just got the guts stripped out of this one the other day.

I'll post more pics as I get them. The Red Earth should be finished in a couple of weeks. I've got all the art I'll need, and I might even add a little custom art if it's lacking anywhere, but I doubt I'll need to.
Thanks for looking.
(P.S. The machine on the far close right in the first pic is my original MAME Classic machine. Right now, it's sadly sitting in the garage at my friends place, as I don't currently have room for two machines where I'm currently living.)
