Texas A&M is pathetic
« on: February 01, 2006, 12:34:31 am »
I am sure this one will bring some Aggies out of the wood work...  But the fact that they have gone to the extent of issuing a restraining order so Seattle can't use the term "12th man" is beyond sad.  They mention the trademark being infringed on, but not how...

Can they not say "the 12th man was a factor in the Seahawks winning"?  Is it the number 12?  When a team is penalized for having a 12th man on the field, will they issue an injunction against the NFL?

A&M, find something better to do, if that is the most coveted intellectual property you have, you are in deep poop.  Maybe focus on beating the Longhorns, then worry about some silly ass slogan.

I didn't attend Texas A&M, but if I could go back in time I would.  You guys have no idea how successful A&M graduates are.  It is a great school with great tradition and I certainly support the Aggies.

I also support the University of Texas.  I'm proud of both these state Universities.

I guess I should clarify...  this isn't directed at any graduates or students, it's directed at the upper echelons of the university WASTING their time and the schools hard earned money on something as frivolous as a slogan.  I am sure the money they have spent on lawyers petitioning this could have gone to a few scholarships versus crying about their beloved 12th man.  Kind of a shame, support them all you want, the money could be better spent elsewhere....
