Monitor issues
« on: January 31, 2006, 08:17:23 pm »
Please bear with me here as I am real new to arcade repair.

I built this cabinet a couple years back, it is a standard JAMMA only machine.  I moved a year or so ago and didn't touch the machine for a while.  When I did get around to getting it all setup, I started noticing this problem intermittently, but it would go away.  Now the monitor constantly stays in this state.  I wish I knew how to describe it, but I don't, so I am including a picture.

Upon furthur reading this seems like it may be called a pincushion issue.

Also, the display type is a Hitachi 25".  At least that is what is on the sticker on the tube.

That's who makes the tube.  The chassis may or may not be labeled.  Can you get a picture of the chassis, it makes it easier to identify.

Pincushion problem alright. Monitor probably needs a capkit.
