Trying to pick a monitor
« on: January 29, 2006, 02:07:54 pm »
I just saw this monitor a Happ. Seems like a good deal. I am in the planning phase of my cab and have a few questions.

The resolution on this monitor is 624 x 200. How do games that require greater than 200 look on it?

It is CGA...I know this should do fine for older games which is my main goal...but there are a few newer games I would like...how does it perform on newer games.

Hookup...would I need an Arcade VGA or does it plug strait into the computer.
I saw someones cab (I think it was Knights of the Round table) and I thought the builder said it hooks strait up without needing the Arcade card. Is this true? This one question can make or break the deal on this monitor...the extra cash required for the card kinda makes the price on the monitor mute.

Thanks for any help.

Not sure if it's the same as the one I purchased or not, but may be.  You may want to check and see what happs charges to ship it.  I paid 179 plus 18 to ship for this one and it has been flawless when running with the avga.
