monitors? which one
« on: January 24, 2006, 07:37:44 pm »
I need a 19inch monitor but I dont know which one I need?  I bought the xbox ipac connection thing and if I am not mistaken, it will only work with a cga monitor?

I have read people buying cga monitors then also buying the vgaarcade card?  why would I do that?

Next question dont all mame games run at the same res.  I have also read that depending on the game (cga/ega/vga-svga-) it may not run on your monitor?

Okay to my question:

What do I need to effectively run Mame w/o any issues...

I was looking at this monitor:
TOVIS 19" CGA MONIOTR  ( http://www.betson.com/products/JCM-44-4519-02 )

If you're interested in a CGA monitor I can recommend the Happ Vision Pro.  I just got one for around $155 (plus tax and $20 shipping).  Looks great and works great with my Mame setup.  I'm running Mame through an Arcade VGA card.
