Problem with WG K7193

Hello everybody, I was hoping that maybe somebody could shine some light on this issue.  I know that I saw this happen to a machine at my local arcade, so I might go and ask the owner to see what he did to fix it.  Hopefully somebody here knows what is going on.

I purchased a War Gods (converted from MK) machine from Chicago, IL.  I saw that everything was good on it and drove it myself from there to Indiana.  When I got to Indiana, I noticed that there was a strange red tint to the screen.  I opened it up and noticed that somebody had done a hack job on the rgb cabling and the red had come loose.  I went ahead and put that back in and that fixed the coloring issue.  Then I noticed that there were these white lines all over the screen.  I am able to make them mostly invisible by tweaking the contrast and brightness, but I would really like to just get rid of them.

Attached is a picture so that you can see what I'm talking about.  Does anybody know what could be causing this?

So you already messed with the "SCREEN" (brightness) knob on the flyback or you havent?

If you're talking about the controls that are under the control panel then yes.  On my particular arcade, the controls that I'm guessing are normally on the back are wired to the front right under the control panel.  The controls are vertical placement, horizontal placement, brightness, contrast, vertical stretch, and one that makes the picture move up and down or stay steady.

Is this what you were referring to?  I can take additional pictures if needed.  Thanks for taking the time to reply to my post.

No, I'm referring to the 2 knobs on the back of your monitor that are on the FLYBACK. One is Screen and the other is Focus. Tune the Screen knob to fix your picture.

Yes, the "SCREEN" control on the flyback is set a tad bit too high and needs to be turned down a little bit. Turn the control counter-clockwise to darken the picture.

Thanks for your replies!  I'm getting ready to go to bed as I have work early in the morning, but I'll try this when I get home from work.

Any ideas as to why this wouldn't have been set right?  I'll let you guys know how the adjustment works for me.  This looked to be a regular issue to me (as I've seen it at local arcades), so I figured that you guys would know what was wrong with it.  Thanks  again for all of your help.

That fixed the problem right away!  Thanks guys.  Now I just have to use the insides of these speakers as an amp...
