List of games and their CPU requirements?
« on: January 21, 2006, 05:29:14 am »

Hi all.

I just wondered if anyone had a list of the system requirements for
the different games? For example, xxxx racing takes about 2GHz etc..

Thanks!

Nicholas

No, there is no list like tha to my knowledge.  This is mostly because the CPU requirements change depending on MAME version.  For example, one game may run on a 300mhz system if you use MAME .36, but the same game on MAME .100 may need a 600mhz processor to run properly.

Now imagine a list with over 300 games... and 100 mame versions... and you'll see why the list isn't around heh.

If you do some searching though, you'll be able to figure out what games WON'T run on a high end system.  Most of the CHDs run slow or not at all for example, and Cruisin USA is very hard to get running properly.  There are certain games that cause trouble, but 99% of games will work fine on relatively modern systems using the proper MAME version.
first off your and idiot

Man I love the internet, haha.
