well gardner u3100
« on: January 19, 2006, 06:34:08 pm »
i was planning to get the wells and gardner u3100 19 inch
for my cab due to the vga adapter.
but i was searching around and i noticed it was giving people
promblems.
and it said the max res was 1024 x 768 but was hard to achive this.
is this true?
is the any good vga compatible moniters beside this line that any body could recomend?
i wanted to use the arcade style moniter for the fell and so i could use the exsting moniter mounters for it.

thank for you for any input in advance!

Hello squire,

I'm also planning to using a U3100 for my cabinet.  I wondering if you remember what thread said the max resolution 1024 x 768 is hard to reach.

Thanks

will only do 1024*768 interlaced...and looks pretty bad.
Its really only a 31Khz monitor, so you won't even be able to run 800*600 at a 60hz refresh.
why not think about the billab 19" autosync?
http://www.billabs.com/bl19c91k_u.htm
at least its also capable of the old school cga resolutions and ega too.

Yes, it has a vga input.
I don't think the u3100 would be a waste, but it looks like there may be better alternatives now.
