Mamewah, mame 103, and gamelists
« on: January 19, 2006, 06:16:51 pm »
I noticed when I updated my set to .103 and then went into mamewah 1.61 and regenerated my gamelist that a few games that were on the generic filtered list have changed as far as which ones are the best to run.  For example the Marvel vs. Capcom games.

How do I edit this list to get back the ones that work better?

I had this problem, and I think it's a problem with the catver/dats... I ended up manually swapping them out.

I can't test right now, but that sounds like the problem... You know how every so often, they change the 'parent' rom and swap around which roms are 'the best'...

In other words, I don't think it's a mamewah issue, I think it's a 'mame support files' issue.

yeah..i figured it wasn't necessarily mamewah....just didn't know where to begin troubleshooting.  I'll check out the catver's and see if that makes a difference.

Also, mamewah does NOT sort out items that done have an entry for a category.  So if you sort for games that use a 4 way joystick, it will list all 4 way games and every game that has nothing listed for the controller entry as well.

It's a currently known bug.  Only way around it is use a fully updated catver...
