New Mini Cab
« on: January 17, 2006, 11:01:21 pm »
I finally built up enough nerve to submit my first project the other day.  It's nothing like some of the other stuff you see on this site, but it's my first attempt at building anything (let alone an arcade machine) so I'm pretty pleased with it.  I would say it's about 90% done.  Check it out and lemme know what you think....

I simply love the small footprint of your cab, and the way you used those
two tables for the inner frame.
It's great to see a cab that breaks the traditional lines and colors

very nice

I think this is first cab I have seen that uses a standalone control panel that actually looks like the control panel belongs there. Awesome! Love the purple color, it's good to see something besides black out there...

very nice.  I bet you'll enjoy it!  How much did that 19" flat panel set you back?  I like the marquee suggestion too.

I love the marquee suggestion!  I wish I would have thought of it before put the speakers in.  It's definitely something I'm going to work at... thanks arcadefever!!

I got the monitor off of eBay for $219.  Pretty cheap.. relatively low response time for the money.  The games look real nice on it.. especially with the glass screen protector.. I think I'll stick with that instead of plexi.

Thanks a bunch for the kind words all!   :D

Very cool -- It's great to see space-conscious yet full-ish-sized cabinets!
