After 2 weeks of testing frontends these are my opinions...give me yours

since ultrastyle died i have spent two weeks testing every frontend i could find, i also tried maximus it was ok...after all my work
1. for my needs gameex is the best frontend for me, the only downside limited skins & 18.00 to lose the nag screen other than its a great frontend the tron theme is awesome & the forums are great
2. atomicfe, its ok, the english is limited & the frontend is a little tricky but its ok, also if you need help & dont speak french the forums are in french only, which is great for the french but us non-french speaking people help is limited
3. maximus i give a ok, i like gameex better
4. ultrastyle good frontend, but no longer works with the new versions & its not supported
5. 3darcade good looking frontend but the setup is very tricky i gave up
6. mamewah still the best looking frontend i have seen but there is no excuse for being so hard to setup not when all of the other frontends are so much easier, it needs a rewrite on the setup to be more user friendly, if the setup was easier this frontend would rule more than it already does, i wish minwah would rewrite the setup & even put a nag screen on the program i would gladly pay if the program was more user friendly
7. supermario frontend dont waste your time & its not in english

It is wrong. Ok the dedicated forums is in French. But i'm almost premently on this forum too.  I come here at leat 2 times a day to answer question and help guys.

I don't use 'atomicfe' but I always see Youki in this forum supporting users.

No offense Youki, but it reminds me of my math classes at Ohio State.  All the professors were Asian, and all though they were there all the time, asking questions just seemed more difficult than they should.  Example: if I have a mamewah question, I have a million resources to look through that have been asked a million different ways.  With Atomic, I feel compelled to ask you directly and when I'm messing with it at 3 in the morning, I wig out.   I had a seizure once.

Mamewah is a great frontend (that one I prefer).

The v1.6x is easier to config from the old 0.9x version, but it even easier by a third party configuration application (yes I saw one, that works fine wich the newest officiel version). This is mainly why minwah did not write it own.

Minwah should have put the configuration with the officiel build, and/or make a link directly one from his download page (some people may not find that one).

mamewah was also that frontend I got most inspirated, when I wrote my jukebox software (very sync with mamewah), but this is a another history.

hehe. heaps more testing than i did though! im happy with anything that doesnt look like windows. i tried ultrastyle but it had a major bug in it (on my computer) that was never resolved. then i tried atomicfe. it works. im happy (",)

p.s: i agree the english isnt great in the setup, but youki is really helpful here on questions about setting it up. thanks youki (",)

Youki, just wanted to make sure you didn't take my post as a slam.  Not the intention.  I did set it up on one pc.  I thought it was very cool.  I discontinued use because I don't believe there is support for the attract movies.  Now if mamewah would just have moving .gif's.............

Don't worry , i didn't take your post as a slam. 

Right ,There is no support for attract movie in Atomic but as Atomic can launch random game as "screensaver" and that game can run for a defined period  in demo mode before changing , it doesn't really need attract movie i think. (At least my point of view).
