ha!!! i never thought of it that way.

gave me an idea as well.....rather than unplugging the playstation wheel from the dreamcast convertor and then plugging it into the playstaion to usb convertor when needed to connect to usb port and vice versa, i could make up an electical connection using a relay so that there wouldn't be any need to unplug/plug everything when going between the dreamcast and the cpu. i could rig it so that the usb convertor is on when the relay is "off" and when the dreamcast turns on, so does the relay and the relay will disonnect the power from the usb convertor and turn on the dreamcast convertor.

this could be done by paralleling the playstation wheel connector to both the usb convertor and the dreamcast convertor inputs and the relay would power the appropiate convertor from the +5v ouput of the dreamcast. Only one convertor would be on at a time. I need to be sure that the current draw from the relay doesn't exceed the dreamcast port limits but i think it has enough current to draw.

has anyone tried this?......does anyone understand this? i tried my best to explain as simple as i could   :)

i thought i did go a little overboard on explaining. it's what i do when i get excited about finding new ideas.

it's been over a year now and after researching and reading up about byoac, i've finally reached the point of where i'm going to start building my first cabinet. since i've gotten so much help from reading from this site, i'll post my progress and from there, pictures would be shown. pictures are worth a thousand words, it'll be easier to explain then.

wish me luck! and i'll start posting my progress soon.
